PCA Annual Exhibition 2008 details

Ø      Exhibition Location

Ravishankar Rawal Hall – Upper Floor, Near Ellisbridge Gymkhana, Law-Garden, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
Dates – 1^st February, 2008 till 4^th February, 2008
Timing – 4pm till 8pm

Ø      Photograph Submission for Selection by Judges Panel

            Members need to submit 3 photographs in the thread –

 Ø      Photograph Submission for Exhibition AFTER SELECTION (Softcopy)

 Size              :  12” x 18”

Resolution   :  300 dpi

Media          :  CD

Last Date    :  18^th January, 2008

 All members whose photographs are selected by the panel are required to submit a SOFT COPY (CD) with the above mentioned size to Mr Aamir or Mr Dewang within 2 days of selection. Members who are outside Ahmedabad can email their entries to Mr Aamir or Mr Dewang as per the mentioned guidelines.

Ø      Photograph Selection, Printing

  100 photographs of size 12” x 18” (one photo per frame) shall be displayed.

Photographs shall be selected by a panel of judges consisting of –

§         Mr. Ketan Modi

§         Dr. Deepak John Mathew (DJM)

 Selection Date: 16^th January, 2008

Members whose pictures are selected will be informed online by mail for their soft copies.

 
PR’s for the Exhibition shall be Mr. Paren Adhyaru and Mr Milapsinh Jadeja.
They shall be approaching the leading News papers & Television Channels including the local cable, for coverage. Also during the days of exhibition, they will be handling the media personnel who have come to cover the event.

  Ø      Sponsorship

        Responsibility: Mr. Milapsinh Jadeja, Mr. Divyesh Sejpal, Mr. Ashit Parikh.

  Ø      Seminars & Other Activities

Mr. Vivek Desai, Mr. Ketan Modi & Dr. DJM shall be conducting Seminars on various topics related to photography.

There shall be Panel Discussion on the criteria followed for choosing the photographs for the Exhibition.

Four days of Exhibition shall be divided into 1 day of Panel Discussion (as described above) and remaining 3 days – one day each for Mr. Vivek, Mr. Ketan & Dr. DJM.

We are trying to rope in a few eminent personalities for their views/ and to give lectures on Art/photography.

Ø      Inauguration

            Inauguration of the Exhibition shall be done by all of us with blessings of

Mr. Vivek Desai, Mr. Ketan Modi & Dr. Deepak John Mathew (DJM)

 In case, Sponsors insist on a person of their choice, a decision shall be taken at the time.

A specially decorated “Chocolate cake” to be cut by all of us.

  Ø      Approximate Budget

  + Grand Party (@ Rs. 250/- per head approx. – if not sponsored*)

The above is a approximate budget for the exhibition. The amount may increase depending on the actual expenses.

Ø      Coverage during Exhibition

Photo coverage of the exhibition shall be taken up by Mr. Ashish Pandya in association with Ms. Priyanka & Mr. Krupal

Media Persons visiting exhibition shall be handled by Mr. Paren Adhyaru and Mr Milapsinh Jadeja.

Other enthusiasts are welcome to cover the exhibition in their own way and co-ordinate accordingly. In case anyone wishes to volunteer for any other activity, please contact a person from the co-ordinating team.

Ø      GRAND PARTY

Grand Party after the completion of the Exhibition for all the participants is being worked out. The place is yet to be decided but most probably it is “Rajwadu”. It’s a open place with traditional food and traditional music and dance.

 A SURPRISE AT THE END OF THE SHOW ON THE LAST DAY IN THE FORM OF A VIDEO. A MUST SEE FOR ALL MEMBERS ON THE LAST DAY.
