Not much to write today. There were some interesting moments though (involving Ashit and one of his best friends who had come to see the exhibition).

The day :
First off, the second day also generated a tremendous response. If anything, it was as good as the first day (and for a photography exhibition, it is nothing short of astonishing). So many many people visiting, taking the time to write their feedback, and also give their inputs. I should say that this has been very well received by almost everyone who attended.

We ordered tea and coffee a few times (how could I have missed out on the tea the first day!). Vinay's slideshow was repeated again and again, and we could see many attendees checking it out.

Most of the local participants were at the venue, and it was very nice interacting with them. Nothing very exciting today, I'm afraid (apart from a few incidents that I shall convey shortly).
People and Antics :

Prakash came rushing up to me and wanted the name tag for Bhavesh Patel. Bhavesh who? I racked my brains, and did some mental tallies.. Bhavesh...Bhavesh... is that snapflickr (cheel kauve wala)?..no that is Umang... is that Neo?? .. no..that's Ravi (who had sent me a few excited emails when I asked him if he'd submitted his photographs). AHHH BHAVESH, my mind said after the right cells in the spreadsheet matched up! That is Indus Gully! It was my pleasure to meet up with him. I suppose he was very glad too, as he said, to have met up with all the PCA members finally. I introduced him to all the members, (introduced him as Indus Gully of course!). He was very tense - one of his name tags was misnamed, and he was pretty excited about it. Literally jumping up and down (relax.. kidding). Got Prakash very excited too.

Prakash had a lot of visitors, and he did a secret ballot. It wasn't so secret anyway - all of his friends and relatives put his photograph on the top of their comments. I think I'll delete those (again, kidding, I'm glad he invited so many people to view our work so heartily). Mukeshbhai was in great spirits as usual. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to catch him near his photographs today.

Ashit was very happy. One of his best friends had attended, and he is going to buy a new camera. He sought opinions from many people. I introduced Abhijit, Ketan, Mukeshbhai and Prakash to him, they know a lot, you see, and are very helpful, and love to share their knowledge. However, not all seemed keen on sharing their knowledge tonight. Tsk tsk. No comments on this issue. Ashit said (when I told him I'd put up his photograph with his friend) "Saale.. maar khayega" ("I'll beat you up, *#&"), Abhijit came to me and said he'd strangle me. Mukeshbhai took me by the hand and dragged me outside the hall and said "Why me?", that too in a very pleading tone. Ashit's friend took one look at Prakash's D80, and asked if he could hold it, Prakash said, in a very firm tone, only if he held the camera by the body and not the lens, and also put the camera strap around his neck. I was occupied with other things, and didn't venture near those rather excitable friends of mine for a bit. Here, I must mention Devansh, who got along very well with Ashit's friend.. they were discussing phones and cameras.. and sensors.. and lenses.. Keep up with the helpful spirit that you have, PCA!

Hmm.. The whole gang was there, of course. Ashish and Chickooo were busy clicking as usual. They have immense enthusiasm. What else remains....Shweta and Gayatri, happily interacting with the others, now that they've gotten to know everyone. Anar came with her mom, who then proceeded to inform me that her daughter's photograph was the best! Looks like Prakash isn't the only one who has secretly influenced the outcome! (all in jest :) ).

Paren, Milap and Dewang were kept busy, Vivekbhai and DJM attended, Divyesh was also there. Sanyukta was there, Krins attended, as did Renu and Avani, Vinay, Chandni, Mahipal and Isha. One of the PCA's oldest members, Mr Panchal happily checked out the exhibition. He's an Asahi Shimbun winner as well, by the way. Many friends and relatives of the PCA members came to the venue and appreciated our effort.

Madhavan has loved the exhibition, he came to the venue again, today. One of Happy Horizon's friends - Bhaskar was also present. He has come all the way from the US, and is a well renowned photographer. He gave some valuable inputs and we thank both Madhavan and Bhaskar for taking such an active interest in the group.

On the subject of thanks, special thanks to all the out of town members for taking an active interest and following the exhibition :) . Also, my thanks to Bhaskar (Genius Gene) and Imran, who have been so supportive of the group.

There have been a lot of comments. I can only recall a couple (but most of them are very appreciative!) for our outstation members - Aravind (the Amateur) and Ram Morrison. All the comments will be compiled and put up for everyone. Pee Vee, your photograph is also there :) . I think I'll try and arrange for a small video of the venue tomorrow.

We have posted some photographs - me and Abhijit. If you care to check out our streams, you can see photographs from the exhibition over there. Note that some of day 1's photographs were clicked by Chickooo.

Before I forget, we got coverage in the Indian Express and Ahmedabad Mirror (a full page, I think). Lage Raho PCA!
